I own a lot of combat style technical trousers and I have 3 different styles of kuhl pants. These are by far the best.Very well made they will probably last for years. Loads of detail, zips and pockets everywhere which i love. Heavy duty but surprisingly comfortable to wear.10/10.

I have stolen the title of my review from a previously written comment which also rated these trousers five star, as I could not think of anything better. Having seen a veterinary colleague - we both work with a National Park Authority - in a pair of Kuhl trousers which he swore by and not having seen the make before, I vascillated before purchasing. How pleased I was when they - very promptly - arrived. The oak tan colour is darker than that of the website but much nicer and the quality just shouts at you the moment you unpack them. Fit is excellent, the lower hem clipping round to a pleasingly snug fit on the shoe and the sizing - I am 6'1" tall, 36 waist and 32 leg - and relaxed style feels as though it has been tailored. And thank you, Mike, for your kind encouragement in promising an unquestioned refund if they weren't suitable. Very sorry, but you are not getting them back! Well done all at Kuhl.

Happy I came across those work trousers. Really like them. I've had worn many work trousers by different brands and by far Kuhl Above the Law are the best for me. First of all , pockets are at the right places , plenty of storage for phone, small tools , keys etc. Very well designed and thought through. They feel tough but very comfortable to wear with no restrictions. Also very good fit.
Wish the sizing was more of a choice. I bought 30W/32L. Would have liked them in 30W/33L. Hopefully this size can be purchased in the future.

Having purchased a pair of The Laws, I also pulled the trigger on a pair of Above the Laws. Expensive for sure but no regrets. The material used was thick and heavy weight. Been wearing these even through the summer months. A little warm but due to commuting needs on a motorcycle it justified the use. These have endured kneeling on gravel and pavements alike during hikes. From sitting on fallen trees with rough tree bark to rocks with moss never had a problem.

Comfortable enough for work, gardening camping, hikes and a day out in town. The cutting in these pants as with many of their garments is great. Allows for freedom of movement.

I bought the espresso variant and once it’s been worn and washed several times the colour looks amazing. I received many good comments from friends and colleagues.

Goes really well with the espresso raid belt.

These are astonishingly good trousers. I could tell as soon as I took them out of the packet that they are robust and very well made and are quickly going to become a firm favourite.

The sizing is perfect and the fit of the 32" for me, a slim 6ft, is spot on. Pockets, vents and other details seem well thought out. The cut is relaxed and comfortable allowing for a good range of movement.

The reinforced double front with slightly waxed finish feels tough as old boots. As an ecologist I generally look for trousers with a high degree of resistance to thorns and these feel like they will be suitable for my work. Similarly, they feel sturdy enough for trade use or would appeal to bush-craft enthusiasts, woodworkers or outdoors-people.

Expensive - yes - but worth every single penny, totally deserving of 5 stars. These will last me many many years. I look forward to checking out other stuff in the Kuhl range.
